The Dwight DeVane of whom I think you are inquiring passed away in Feb 1990. He was a cousin of my mother, Alice DeVane Meadows, and my uncle, E. J. DeVane.
He has a son, Dwight, Jr. that I can probably find out how to contact.
That are several of us working to update and expand the DeVane geneology book prepared about 25 years ago in order to get a DeVane SAR chapter established in Florida. I have those records and others but I welcome help in trying to update this info. The info on spouses and children in the last 25 years is sparse or at least scattered.
I welcome your interest and help and anyone else who has DeVane ancestry and interest, particularly of the DeVanes those who have settled in Florida.
