I am looking for North Florida DeVanes, particularly those who descend from Benjamin Franklin DeVane, 1796. This Benjamin was born in Bladen Co, NC, later moved to Lowndes Co, GA, then Quitman, Co, GA, Madison & Taylor counties, FL, then finally to Plant City, Hillsborough Co, area. He had 6 sons, all who fought in the Civil War:
John Thomas DeVane, b 1815 Bladen Co, NC
William H DeVane, b 1817 Bladen Co, NC
Samuel Rownan DeVane b 1824 Bulloch Co, GA
James S DeVane b 1827 Bulloch Co, GA (remained in Taylor Co)
George DeVane b 1832 Shady Grove, Taylor Co, FL (killed in Battle at Gettsyburg)
Benjamin Franklin DeVane, 1835 Shady Grove, Taylor Co, FL (died in Savannah Ga, while walking home to Plant City after the end of the Civil War) - my gg-grandfather.
Hamilton Co: I have other DeVanes in Hamilton County placed but I can't link these.

b 1851 FM DeVane ( I think this is Mitchell), in 1885 Fl Census - 34, farmer
b 1874 Willie Devane (s/o FM above) in 1885 FL Census
b 1879 George DeVane in 1900 Census living with grandfaher Cecil Tuc\rkett
The seven DeVane children listed below were living with aunt & uncle SS & Anna Smith in 1910 &1920 Census.

1909 Lizzi K DeVane in 1920 Census
1911 John L DeVane in 1920 Census
b 1848 William D DeVane b, GA in Hamilton Co 1900 census, ma Frances E ??;
with the following children listed:
Harlie DeVane, son, mw, b June 1881, 18
Shep Devane, son, wm, b Mar 1883, 17
Fuller DeVane, son, wm, b June 1882, 12
Lester DeVane, son, wm, b June 1889, 10
Lee Clark, dau, wf, Jan 1888, 12
Maud DeVane, dau, wf, Feb 1891, 9
Is the same Wm D DeVane who married Sarah Lewis in 1873? I don't think this can be a first and eecond marriage, as the birth dates of children with both women are intermingled.
