Have you researched a man named Harry P. Deuel? Deuel Co., Nebraska is named for him. He was a prominent business man, freemason and was involved with the trains in the state. I am fairly sure that he had children. I have also seen a few Deuels in the early Nebraska territorial census records. You should check them out.
