In my friend's family Bible it shows the following:
George E. Deuel, of Harford Mills, Cortland Co., NY. and
Mary S. Davis, of Harford Mills, Cortland Co., NY
who were joined in Holy Matrimony on 22 Feb. 1871 at Cortland Co.
by Geo F. Lent Minster of Gospel
Witness: N E Smith.......... Witness: Mary P Smith

George E. Deuel & Mary S. Smith, had two daughters, Bertha Celinda & Daisie.
Bertha Deuel, married John McCue Becker, and raised a family. Daisie Deuel never married.
When John & Bertha Deuel Becker died, they were layed to rest together at Fort Hill Cemetery, in Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY. Its a very old cemetery with lots of ground that is very difficult to get to now days because it's so sloped in areas.
When Bertha's mother, Mary S. Davis Deuel Smith, and Bertha's sister, Daisie Deuel died, they too were buried at Fort Hill Cemetery and close to John & Bertha. They were buried on the other side of John & Bertha's headstone.
We don't have a clue as to where George E. Deuel died and was buried or cremated. If anyone has any information on George, please contact me. If anything else should sound familiar, please let me know.
