I'm searching for data about Isaac Deuel of Cambridge NY. He is apparently the son of Cornelius Deuel and Mary Fish. One record has him born in Cambridge (Washington Co.) NY 24 Aug 1794. He married Jan 1816 Lois Morgan of Pownal VT. They had at least four children, Benjamin, Lucy, Nancy and Mary, all born between 1816 and 1838 in Cambridge. They undoubtedly had more children whose names I haven't found.
Curiously, Lois Morgan Deuel had a sister named Judith Morgan who married an Isaac Deuel of Cambridge NY on 22 Jun 1806. This is from a vital record in Pownal VT, and it is the last trace of this Judith that I find. I don't think it can be the same Isaac Deuel that her sister marries, as he would have been 12 at the time.
There is a Nine Partners connection between the Deuel family and the Morgan sisters. Their mother was Lucy Dunham Morgan, whose parents were Obadiah Dunham and Lucy Gillette Dunham. Obadiah Dunham, b. 1730 Hebron CT, was a physician and in the French and Indian war. He married Lucy Gillette in the Patent ca 1755. Her father, Joel Gillette, died in Amenia NY in 1763. I know there were Deuels in Amenia. I think it likely the families knew each other for generations.
Any help in providing more data on these families, or finding the missing Judith and Isaac would be much appreciated.
