I have information that Lewis Deuel was born 24 August 1773 in Corinth, Albany, New York, and died 29 March 1843. This information came from the book, "Devol Early Settlers in Rhode Island 1639 and in Ohio 1788," by Herbert Devol, 1997.
If that is the case then Lewis was born 2 years before Sarah Patience Milk and Jonathan Deuel were married.
However Lewis's son William Henry Deuel listed his grandfather and grandmother as Jonathan and Patience (Milk) Deuel.
Any suggestions where to look?
