I was doing some research and saw your message. There was a Meade D Detweiler that lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in the time period you mentioned. My parents were friends of the son and his wife who moved to Florida years ago and who have both passed on. The son's name was J Hoffer Detweiler.
There is some information about Meade on an ELKS website as he was prominent in that organization. If you do a name search on HotBot using Meade D Detweiler (exact phrase) you'll find it right away.
Hope this sheds a little light on the subject. If you want to know more, I'll try to find out for you.
