My John Detrick was born 5 Feb 1777 in Edom, VA which would make him 17 years older than your Adam. He also had a son named John who was born 25 Dec 1825 and married Elizabeth Warner on 5 Jan 1868 in Union, Montgomery County, Ohio. Cannot find any connections, but the similarities are interesting. Will keep looking. Thanks for the info!
