Steve, I am just geting started in looking up the Detrick's and I can not get past my greatgrandfather, Benjamin F. Detrick. He was born in 1837, Montgomery County, I assumed it was Ohio, but I'm no longer sure of any of my information. I recently found out his parents were born in PA., according to the census of 1880, but it says he was born in Ohio. I can find no links to him in any of the Dayton, ohio area Detrick's. I have proven he was a Civil War vet. and I am in the process of sending for his penison records. HOPEFULLY I will find out more about him.
