I have been looking for info on the same painting you describe( Bridge with load limit sign, man standing on bridge, boy holding a stick to a dog, by the water, and a steepled church in the background.) it is a like you said a couch sized portrait, the frame may have been all gold but only the inside edge has any gold color. frame also has a metal tag that says "A sturdy Landmark" on it, on the back, the paper covering bears the following, (P 152 V 1581-102 and two inspection stamps on it one is "Inspected D 200, 2nd one Inspected D 263.) I would like more info as well, such as date painted & what the numbers on the back mean, what's the value of it. thanks
