My friend Natalie has been trying to locate her brother for over 65 years. He was in the US Navy circa 1938 and according to her, was the youngest person to receive a commandership. He was married and had 2 children. I believe his name was William Ralph Detlefsen, but it is possible that was her father's name. Her poor dad went to his grave searching for his son. Not sure how they lost contact or why, and not sure if she has contacted the US Navy with help in locating him. She lives in Maine. She was sketchy about details as she is getting on in years. Any help would be appreciated.
