Illing of 61 I recently learned that my ggggrandmother's maiden name was Anna STACKMANN, she married Conrad DETERDING circa 1838-1840 probably in or around Sachsenhagen, Schaumberg-Lippe, Germany area. Anna was born in 1821 and Conrad in 1810. They immigrated with their four children to the U.S. in 1847. Lived in NYC. I think Anna STACKMANN remarried after Conrad died in the 1860s. Who has the German/Lutheran Church records for this area and time frame? Were there any German census' records recorded and still in existance today? Any one know if FHL has these?
