Hi Robert,
I don't if or how our Deterdings are interconnected but I recently found more information on my Deterding line. My gggggrandfather, Conrad DETERDING was born in the Stadthagen area (perhaps Sachsenhagen) on 1 May 1811. He died in NY, NY in 1862. I am fairly certain that he was a tailor by trade. He was married to Anne ?. They had four children, William, Friederike, Charlotte and Annie. I have inforamtion on Friederike and William only. They emigrated to the U.S. in the late 1840s/early 1850s. Have you been able to access any records from the Stadthagen churchs for this time frame? Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Cheryl
