I am descended from George Deterding who was in Jacksonville, IL area in the 1840's. Matt Quinn seemed to indicate that there had been a George Deterding in Madison Co. who moved to the Jacksonville area. Do you information on him? Was he related to you? I have George's complete history down to the present. Would love to tie in with yours. We cannot find George before Jacksonville.
