Phyllis, I"m almost 100% that we are connected to one of the same families. Mine is the GURRERI family. I have where Filippo came over on septembe 1, 1907. He was age 19. He has his name spelled DeStefano. On the ship manifest it states he came to be with his cousion Baldassare GURRERI. Baldassare (William) lived on Princess st. My Philip also married a Calogera Terrasi. I have a copy of a wedding picture that has the following people on it. Left to Right: Lorenzo GURRERI & his wife Josephine TERMINI GURRERI, Mary TERRASI RENDA (Possible sister of the bride) (Bride) Calogera (Charlette) TERRASI Edith TERRASI DESTEFANO (possible sister of the bride) (Groom) Philip DeStegano. I was told the connection might be Baldassare (William) GURRERI (brother to Lorenzo) married Roselia TERRASI. She is one of the sisters to Calogera TERRASI. If this is so, then that makes Baldassare, Philips brother in law not cousin. My families are from York, PA area also. Buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery. I think I seen Philip & his wife there. I have a obit for Calogera Destephano. Listed are the 11 childrens names. Carmen DeStephano Joseph Stella Platts Liborio Russel John Philip Lilly Gentzler Anna Pilgrim Josephine Kellet Madeline Frank. 29 granchildren & 5 great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Mary Renda & Edith Keesey. If you feel that we might have a connection, don't hesitate to contact me. psg17pa@aol.com.
