I have the orignial spelling as Deserre which has the originals from the Serres area of France. Francois Deserre was a captain in the French militia and his son Antoine Deserre was the first french Deserre to set foot on north American soil. I have our family named traced back 11 generations to Francois Deserre. My family migrated to the Quebec area then the Deserres branched off to New England area, to Missouri, back to Wisconsin, then finally my family set down in Kansas. If you would like to share information, I would be willing to share what I have concerning this family. Larry Desaire
