I happened to come across this post however it has been many years since the original posting. When I ever saw Swansea, MA in the title I was super excited! My great grandfather was an Edmund Desrosiers he was born July 9, 1899 and died October 29, 1980 in Swansea, MA. I believe his parents were Georgiana Gingras(s) B/abt 1868 in Canada and died on June 8, 1901 in Fall River, MA. His father was Wilfrid Desrosiers born October 1869 in Canada and died on July 13, 1891. Wilfrid's parents were (I believe...still unclear on this) Godbert (or Golbert) Desrosiers B/abt 1836 and his wife was a Denise Messier (Mercier). I have been unable to clarify any of my information further. I do have in my notes 12 children listed under Godbert and Denise ranging in birth years from 1869-1890 (am unsure of this also). So anywhere along this line could be something your looking for. I am so happy to know that there might be some links out their to my MA. Desrosiers. Hope to hear from you (even though 10+ years have past since the posting).
