Hi Anne, The first Desrosiers that pioneered Québec was Antoine. As I mentioned in his notes "Four of his sons were involved in the commerce of fur-trading. As was the custom in those days, each of the boys took a unique "dit" (aka) name. This alias name distinguished their individual families."

In my report they all show up under
“Children of Antoine Desrosiers and Anne Leneuf”.
Michel Desrosiers-dit-Desilets
Jean Desrosiers-dit-Dutremble
Antoine Desrosiers-dit-LaFresniere
Pierre Desrosiers-dit-Dutremble.

So you are a decendant of either Jean or Pierre and of course their parents Antoine Desrosiers and Anne LeNeuf.

I hope that this helps, Janet
