Hi Anne

True statement, my wife's Desrosiers are the Laniel dit Desrosiers. Her French Immigrant Julien Laniel dit Desrosiers was married twice (first wife died). Almost all of the ones from his first family went by the name of Laniel. The family from his second marriage started off using the Laniel dit Desrosiers before settling as Desrosiers. Another Desrosiers family is known as the Moreau dit Desrosiers and you will find Desrosiers that decend back to to Moreau. In Vermont my wife's Great Great Grandmother Amelia Raymond married Thomas Desrosiers from the Laniel dit Desrosiers line. Amelia had a sister named Delia that married Joseph C. Desrosiers who was from the Moreau dit Desrosiers line. Both families however went by Desrosiers who more specifically Derosia in Vermont. The bottom line for you with the Dutremble dit Desrosiers, Dequire dit Desrosiers, and Desilets dit Desrosiers is that they all come from the same family of Antoine Desrosiers and Anne Laneuf and I might have Anne's last name spelled incorrect. Hope this helps.
