I have recently been doing geneology research in my family. My father's mother is a Desrosiers. But have had difficulty going back. My grandmother is Marie Delima Aldea, named after a two year old sister that died the year before she was born. She is the daughter of Theophile Desrosiers who was born somewhere in Canada on September 4, 1855. The death certificate issued on May 4, 1924 in Manchester, NH. THe only thing found was the name of his parents - Louis Desrosiers and Marie Cournoyer. Again no birthplace. My greatgrandfather married an Emelie Clement from Canada. She died on January 30, 1897 at the age of 32 years. She is the daughter of Calix Clement and Esther Groux. I had a hard time finding their marriage then found out that my great grandparents - Theophile and Emelie were married on January 12, 1888 in Ste. Marie's in Manchester NH. In the various marriage records in Canada there is no record of Louis Desrosiers and Marie Julie Cournoyer marrying. Any links out there??
