Cecilia Fernande Lambert Brehio Desroches (DesRoches!?!)

after years of brick walls, I finally found my bio grandmother's parents!

my bio Grandmother is Cecilia Fernande Lambert Brehio Desroches. she was born 13 Aug 1902 in Worcester, MA. her father was Joseph Michael Lambert and her mother was Emily Marie Tardif.

from census records, it would appear she also had an older half sister, Emma C Lambert, and the following younger full siblings: Yvonne L, Irene B, Richard A, Paul J and Emil L.

I also was beyond thrilled to find her military records... in fact that is the first place I found her, having found mention of her re-married name (Desroches) in her son's - my bio father's- military records, I researched that name which I had never had... and found her military records, and where she was buried at Ft Bliss. She served from WWII thru Vietnam in the Army, starting out in the "Women's Army Corps". from what I understand, her husband was in the Army too, but I still don't have her husband's name... would love to find that. I am going to try to request the military records, but unfortunately grandchildren are NOT considered next of kin. and her only child, my bio father, is deceased. so... there is no one to request the full record. silly system if you ask me.

very excited about this find! and as always, hoping to find anyone who may be related to this line, especially now that I have another generation and a maiden name on the mother, as well as several siblings!

seems like I had heard somewhere that she had had a daughter from her second marriage named Yvonne. which would make such sense, now that I know she had a sister Yvonne! but I can find nooo record of a Yvonne Desroches that doesn't appear to be a wife rather than to have been born with that name.

still interested in finding possible "family"! or anyone who knows of them!
