Sam... My gr gr grandmother was Basilide Desroches and was born in St. Paul, Quebec ca. 1825 - 1830. She married Edward Denneny ca. 1850 and they raised a family in Farran's Point, Ont. just outside Cornwall. I have seen the last name also spelt Durocher, Desrochers, Desrosiers, etc. and her first name as Basilisse (she also used the name Marjory). Have you ever come across her name in your research?
