I am the son of Rick DeSpain who, from what little I know about him, was born and raised in Arizona. Unfortunately we were never close as father and son and, thus, I know very little about him or his family history. What I do know; however, is that his mother was pure, or at least MOSTLY, Choctaw. The American Indian features were very prominent with him- it was evidenced in the cheek bones, skin tone, hair, etc... I managed to get the cheek bones and a bit of the skin tone. I can only hope that I've got the hair, as well! It would be nice to have a full head of it till the day they lay me to rest!

I apologize that I do not have more information for you. There is very little that I know of my DeSpain heritage other than the basics of our roots. I carry the name proudly, though.
