Hi, I'm not a De Soto, but, my grandmother Nellie Esther Gillock Bonstein De Soto was married to Albert M. De Soto. They married about 1928-1934. Where I'm not really sure. Maybe Oklahoma, where Grandmother lived. They were married until her death in 1981. But she had left him, before her death. His where abouts, or wether he is still alive is unknown. This is the history that I know... Albert, was born some time in the late 1800 or early 1900's. His parents owned a De Soto family ranchero in Califorina. His mother was a Perchio (Spelling unknown) Her family had a Family rancherio in the same valley. I can't remember the valley's name but if you go thrugh a tunnel from Okland Ca. west you will reach this valley. Both family homes are state monuments. I have heard that he was married before my grandmother and had a son?? Either the De Soto's or the Perchio's family crest is a basket with snakes, given by the King and Queen of Spain. He was direct linage from the Spanish discover DeSoto. I hope anyone looking for DeSoto information will be able to get some help from this information. I desend from Grandmother's first marriage to George Torrence Bonstein. His last known address was in San Jose, CA. If any of you know his status, I would greatly appricate any info. to close up this last door of my genealogy history. I don't really know anything more but will answer any questions that I can.
