Ceicel Desmond mid 1800's Maine

I am looking for any conection. My gr gr grandfather was Ceicel Desmond who served in the Civil War in the maine regiment his son was Jerimaih who had a son Pearl, who had a Kenneth who is my father. I'm not sure on the women except for Pearl Desmond who married Gretrude Stairs who was from Canada. All the Desmonds that I have listed are from Aroostook County Maine and this is all I can find I Beleive Ceicel Came from Gremany whe he wa 8 in the mid 1800's any help would be good.
