Thank you for your reply. I realise I have very little to go on and that's what's making progress so difficult. I have now found out that his first name may have been Edward and his second name Ignatius. He *may* also have been born here in South Africa instead of actually immigrating from Ireland himself... his parents could have been the ones who immigrated, but I don't know their names. So, yes, very little to go on... very little hope of ever finding out anything more... I appreciate you're attempt at helping though.
