George O'Leary was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1803. Ellen Desmond was born on Oct. 24 1808 in County Cork Ireland. They were Married on Feb. 26, 1829 in her families parish, St. Patrick Church in the Parish of Dunmanoway, Diocese of Cork & Ross in Ireland. There first child Mary O'Leary was born on Nov. 1, 1833 in County Cork, Ireland. there first son Daniel O'Leary was born in Halifax , Nova Scotia, Canada on July 6, 1835, then Patrick O'Leary was born in High Market , Lewis Co. New York in 1837. # 3 son was Thomas born in High Market New York on Dec. 1840. Margaret in 1843 and Timothy on May 1, 1846, John in 1848, and George in 1853. George & Ellen came from Ireland to Nova Scotia Canada with a brother, they worked in lumber in Canada & in High Market located in Lewis Co. ( approx, 20 miles north of Rome) New York. ( brother or brothers name is unknown ) It is not known if the brother or brothers stayed in Canada or moved to New York as well. After the land was logged in N.Y. George could and did Homestead on some of the land. Looking for any info on brothers or sisters of George or Ellens that either stayed or might have come over from Ireland with them or after them and what ship they all came over on. ( Ireland to Canada & to the USA ) Thanks for any help. Joe O'Leary.
