Your message is a little confusing. My father Charles Desmond who was born in Brooklyn N.Y. was deserted by a Frank Desmond and Gertrude Hiscock at the age of 2 years old in 1933. His Mothers name was Gertrude Hiscock. She lived in a common law marriage with the name of Mrs. Desmond. Gertrude was originally from Canada. My Father found his mother at age 21, but she never told my father who Frank Desmond was. On my fathers birth certificate it states that Frank Desmond was a printer. My Father grew up in an orphanage with the name of Hiscock. At the age of 15, he was told that his last name was Desmond. The only significance we have is the name Gertrude.
