I am looking for information on my great grandfather - apparently he was originally from Cork, I think he was destined for the priesthood but joined the navy instead and was then a coastguard in Beachy Head, where my grandmother laura eleanor desmond was born in 1887. His wife was laura maria, formerly Whiter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
