Seeking information on the family of Patrick DESMOND and Margaret Rebecca LESLIE in the late 19th and early 20th cent.
Patrick Desmond was born between 1870 and 1874 in Ireland or Michigan. Margaret Rebecca Leslie was born Abt 1872/1873 in Iowa. She was the daughter of Felix Negley Leslie and Catherine A. McAllister; the granddaughter of Hugh Leslie and Rebecca Negley; the great granddaughter of Alexander NEGLEY of the Pittsburgh Negleys.
Patrick and Margaret Rebecca had 8 known children in IA:
Joseph P., Dec., 1896;
John, Nov 1899;
Catherine E., Abt 1901;
Daniel F., Abt 1903;
Mary A., Abt 1906;
Edwin A., July 12, 1908;
Thomas, Abt 1912;
Bernard, Abt 1917.
I have been able to find most of the family in the 1910 census (in Pottawattamie Co., IA) and in the 1920 census (in Cass Co., IA), but none in the 1930 census (most strange).
Seeking information on marriages, children and deaths of all of the above. Willing to share information.
