Found a Johanna DESMOND, b. May 15, 1865 in Inishannon, Co. Cork. Her parents were John and Catherine TOOMEY. Her brother, Humphrey, b. ca 1858, immigrated to the U.S. and settled in the Hoboken and Jersey City areas of Hudson County, NJ.

A cousin, Timothy J. DESMOND, was also born in Inishannon, ca 1864; parents were Timothy and Catherine HAWKES.

I also found a Michael Desmond who was a policeman in Hoboken, NJ.
