Hi,
I’m currently doing some research on the family of Jean-Baptiste Lauriault (Loriot) (1797?-1869) and Marie-Claire Valiquette (1808-1899) who got married in Montréal in 1826 and eventually moved to Hull then Gracefield. They had 11 or more children. One of which was Joseph who married Olive Major on 7-Sept-1857 in Ottawa, Ont. and one of which was Auguste who married Louise Major on 1-Jan-1859 in Maniwaki, QC.From the Hull 1851 census, Auguste was listed as being 17 years old, so he would have been born approximately in 1834.(Note that birth date from census data is not always accurate.)He was also listed has having a twin brother called Jean-Baptiste.
Did Auguste Lauriault remarry with Philomène Major at a later date?If yes, they really kept it in the family!
Let me know if you want more info. Can you read WordPerfect documents?
