Re: William Elzy Deskin, I found William Elzy in the 1850 Monroe County, Indiana Census, Richland Township, He is listed as Elzy Duskins 32 born Ky
Isabella 26 born TN
William 9 born TN
Nancy 6 born TN
Margaret 4 born TN
John 2 born KY
I do think that this is the William Elzy I have been looking for and his wife and the first four children, all of the names and dates match. The only difference is the name Duskins which I think should be Deskins. I have looked in the 1820 Floyd County, Kentucky Census and they list a John Deskins and in Bath County, Kentucky they list a Daniel Deskins with a large family and many children. I think one of these men is the father of William Elzy, does anyone have more information on either one of these men????
