Hugh Lawrence Deshazo (1838-1893) had a son Wilson Bryant Deshazo (1859-1916). On the 1860 census in Pike Co. AL, Hugh Deshazo's wife is Sarah W. Dubose, but on Wilson B. DeShazo's death certificate, his mother is identified as Annie Patterson of New South Wales. In the Hugh L. Deshazo household on the 1860 census, there is a Susan Patterson, 56, born Louisiana. Does anyone have information to explain this situation?
