There are a bunch of DeShazos in the Cahaba Valley area (Leeds, Ala.) about 30 miles west of Talledega. They claim kinship to all S.E. branches and trace their lineage back to France. Migrated to Va.in 1600's to escape Hugenot Persecutions.
