If you aren’t already aware, James was murdered, shot down at his home one night by bushwhackers during the Civil War, in Boone County, AR, His son Allen DeShazo was one of the Fancher wagontrain killed at the infamous Mountain Meadows Massacre in Utah a few years earlier.
