I was reading your post and have been trying to do DeShazo research for some time. I am not sure if there is a connection or not but would love to find my husband's grandmother's family. The information I have is from a Montague Co. Texas census. Mattie Estelle DeShazo b. 22 Feb 1886, d. 8 Sep 1958 Siloam Springs,Benton,Ark.. (place of birth from family)..she was b. Horatio,Sevier Co. Ark., (Father/mother information came from census)to Alex DeShazo b. Sep 1849 La. and Susan Emillio Schief or Scaif b. 1852 Ill., d.(place of death from family) 1902 Texarkana (unsure if Tx/Ark. Unsure where burried on both Alex/Susan. Mattie married Alonzo Grey Webb b. 4 Feb 1888 Montague,Montague,Tx., d. 2 Aug 1961 Siloam Springs,Benton,Ark. Both burried Gentry,Benton,Ark.. My husband's mother was one of thier children. Mattie had a sister Rosie Pearl DeShazo that married a half brother to Alonzo, I think his name was Jefferson, will have to pull out some papers. They lived in and around Littlefield,Tx..
