So exciting to hear from a William DeShazo descendant! According to the book "Henry County Marriage Bonds 1778-1849" edited and published by Virginia Anderton Dodd in Richmond, Virginia in 1953, William DeShazo and his wife Jane King had five children: George King, Tabitha Jane, Sallie, Frances, and Richard. I am descended from Tabitha Jane b. 1804 or 1805 d. 1850 to 1860 and her first husband Robert Connaway b. ca 1799 d. ca 1834 who were married on Dec. 5, 1827. I also have plenty of names and dates that I would be glad to share with you of my line from Tabitha or Tabithia Jane to her oldest child Martha Jane Connaway Albritton Carney to my great-grandmother May Anna Carney Key to my grandmother Bessie Key Covington down to my mother Lillian Covington Douthitt.
