John and Helena Deschler, IN 1860-1910

I recently completed an archaeological excavation of a meat-packing shop in Indianapolis, IN managed by John W. Deschler and wondered if anybody could fill in some family history. He and wife Helena were each born in Baden in 1836 and came to the US in 1860. John may have served in the 165th regiment Ohio Infantry in 1864; the family was in Indianapolis in 1867. They had three children (Charles, b. 1865) (John H., b. 1870) and (Louise H (b. 1872 and married to Charles Knarzer in 1896). The Deschler parents died between 1905 and 1910. I'm especially interested in finding living descendants and would be happy to my share other research on the family. There is a web site on the excavation at http://www.iupui.edu/~anthpm/fs2001.html
Thanks,
Paul Mullins
