I graduated High School from Tempe High School in Tempe, AZ in 1965. My best friend at the time was Ramon Deschamps.(Ray) My memories of him (camping, finding the passing gear in my 55 chevy, etc.) are incredibly fond. He died after one year in the Marines in Operation Hastings in Viet Nam. We were not in contact after the week before High School graduation.
I am certain he had a sister and I am thinking two and I think a younger brother. I left for college the night we graduated (Ray was so eager to be a Marine he skipped walking with us through the grad line). 18 months after going to college I returned to AZ and went to Ray's family residence. No one home. Neighbor said the family had moved.
Would love to interact with any of his immediate family members or if someone has information to guide me toward them.
