Hi again,
Where did you find your data? If from a transcription, there's a possiblity that the transcriber made a mistake in Francois' last name - transposing it with Mathilde's mother.
It's a mistake made surprisingly often when the transcriber mixes up surnames from parents/children/in-laws, etc.
Mathilde DESCHAMPS (Pierre & Luce DENAUT dit Luneau)
m 20 Jan 1880, St-Raphael, Bellechasse, QC
Xavier BLAIS (Joseph & Luce BEAUDOIN) {Xavier is usually preceded by Francois}
Pierre Deschamps (Moise & Constance RAIMBAULT)
m 20 Nov 1840, St-Valier
Luce DENAUT dit LUNEAU (Jacques & Riene GODIN_
