I found your post on genforum and was wondering if your Des Champs could be
the ancestors of my Descant who moved to Mansura, Louisiana mid 1800's. My
gg grandmother was Mathilde Anaise Descant (Deschamp, Descamp) b. abt. 1853
in Mansura, La. Daughter of Jean Descant b.Abt. 1820 in France and Marie
Roulde, Rouede, Roule.
Do you find any info on FTM at this time from the book written on the
family.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
