Roy G. Dezotell was shot in downtown Sioux Falls, 11th and main, by his wife, as he walked down the street. If I remember from the article (I have a newspaper article on this), his wife came after him and fired several shot, only one hit him.His wife, Nora Frost, was apprehened later and arrested.
It appears that Roy married Nora about 1923 in Sioux Falls. He was married previously to a Dena Appledorn (m. April 23, 1913).From what I have found, there doesn't appear to have been any children from either marriage (though I could be wrong).
His father was Abner Arron Dezotell b. 4/2/1855 in Waukesha County, WI, d. 7/24/1928 in Sioux Falls.Abner's father was Stephen Dezotell and his grandfather was Paschal. So now you are right back to the brick wall that I've been researching.
Roy's mother was Alice Malinda Allen b. 2/17/1870 in Barron County, WI d. 3/1/1948.Abner and Arron were married on 11/6/1887 in Monroe County, WI.Alice did remarry to a Frank Cronnoble.
Alice's parents were a James C. Allen b. NY and a Harriet UNKNOWN.
