Johan Jacob Dorsam (Dersham) b.1733

The German spelling of Dersham(Dershem) is Dorsam and Doersam. There are many other spellings in the USA such as: Dirsem, Durshem, Darsham, etc. Johan Jacob Dorsam is my ggggg grandfather and father of Jacob Dersham - the Rev. War Soldier. Johan Jacob was born in Germany - Falken-Gesass on 21 Feb 1733. His wife was Elisabetha and they arrived in America, Philadelphia on 30 Sept 1754 aboard the ship Neptune. Their children were: Jacob, Ludwig, Christian, George, Christina, Elizabeth and Catharine. THere may be more, but that's all that I know of. The children after Jacob were born in PA. Ludwig is buried in New Berlin, PA and Christian is buried in Ohio. I do not know where Johan Jacob and Elisabetha are buried in PA. They had settled in Berks Co and were Lutheran.

Johan Jacob's father was: Johan Jacob Dorsam
(also called Hans Jakob) b. 13 April 1702 in Affolterbach, Germany and d. 14 Nov 1742. Married to Anna Catherina Fischer, their children were: Joh. Georg, Anna Elisabetha, Joh. Peter, Joh. Jacob jun, Elisab Catharina, Joh. Adam, Joh. Nicolaus and Anna Catharina.

Johan Jacob's father was: Johann Peter Doersam, b. 26 Dec 1663), d. 13 March 1727 in Affolterbach,Germany. He married Barbara Keil in 1691, their children are: Margaretha 1 & 2, Christoffel, Adam, Anna B., Hans Jakob, Anna E., Eva B., Margaretha 3.

Johann Peter's father was: Adam Doersam, b. 1630 in Affolterbach, Germany and d. 31 Dec 1716,married to Elisabeth and their children were: Johann Peter, Eva, Margaretha, Barbara, Anna, Margaretha.
