Looking at a few files in the ancestry.com "trees", it seems Charlie's parents were
Josephus & Lucinda Wilkerson Derringer, Jos. was born in Jennings Co., Indiana.
I do know that Jos. & Lucinda are buried at the Crothersville cem altho there are no headstones.
Radine Willis in California was doing research on this line, I believe you have spoken
with her before? Looking at genforum & a couple other forum listings, there are a few of you
researching the same people.
I'm just passing on what I have found on the net, hopes this helps.
I have copied all the Derringer info from Jennings, Jaskson, I could find but have never got it
sorted out. The "first" Derringer in Jennings Co., was a John Dearinger, believed to be the son
of my 4th greatgrandfather, Micheal in Woodford Co., Ky & a half brother to my 3rd greatgrandfather
Mathias Derringer in Brown Co., Ind.
If you can contact Radine I am sure she can fill you in.
