Susan:

Melchoir came to the USA with his mother in 1738 and was 7 at the time. They entered thru Savannah and then moved up to St. Simon's Island, Ga. After Gen. Oglthorpe removed his troups from St. Simon's they migrated to Columbia, SC. Melchoir is buried at the bottom of Lake Murray in Columbia, SC. It covers the property they owned.
