I would be glad to trade info with you. My line is Simon - Michael - Michael - George - Daniel - Lewis - Earl. All in Pennsylvania.
Simon and wife Catherine Stapleton had 7 children. The two oldest, John & Jacob remained in TN. When Simon died, Catherine moved with her other 5 children back to PA where her family still lived. Apparently the TN branches Anglicized the name as the usual spelling in PA is Derck, Derk or Dirk. Second generation church records from central PA are spelled variously as Durck or Turck with an umlaut over the u, or as Duerck or Tuerck.
There are quite a few Derricks,but that variation is a minority here.
