According to word of mouth in my family history, four brothers came over from either Scotland, Ireland, or England. One was named Michael, born c. 1765, my ggggrandfather. Supposedly, some of them were sick when the ship reached America and they were not allowed to land. The ship went down the coast and they left the boat around the Carolinas and moved onto Tennessee.
