I'm just getting into this also. My father was born in Webster County, MO, in 1923. His name was Jesse, also. He was named Jesse Brown Derrick after one of his uncles. I will email more when I have a chance. A quick rundown of what I've been told by my Dad's sisters:

Michael Derrick (my ggggrandfather)
Jonathan Derrick (my gggrandfather)
Henry Clay Derrick (my ggrandfather)
Emmett L. Derrick (my grandfather)
Jesse Brown Derrick (my father 1923-1983)
