I am just getting started on my research and am new at this - I do not know much about my grandfathers ancestors but your info caught my attention. His name was Jasper Derrick and I am unsure of where he was born (or how many siblings he had) - as that part of my family are mostly all deceased - but the interesting this is that he had 14 children - 7 from his 1st marriage and 7 from the 2nd. I don't know his 1st wife's name but his second my grandmother was Chasaro Garrett. This is the names of their children: Thomas Richard, Lottie, Mary, Lula, Catherine (Katie), Louis Jasper (my father), and William Hubert. If you have any info you could share with me or if any of this inforamtion is familiar please let me know. i would love to hear from you. I couldn't help but notice all the coincendences regarding their names.
